An Act To Amend the Thirtieth Section of an Act Entitled "An Act Granting The Citizens Of The Town Of Evansville, In The County Of Vanderburgh," pt. 9: Granted the city council the authority to regulate the keeping and conveying of gunpowder and all other combustible and dangerous materials, including the use of candles and lights in barnes and stables.

Section 30. The common council shall have the control and management of the finances and of all the property real and personal, belonging to said city, and shall have full powder and authority, for and within said city, to make, establish, publish, alter, modify, amend and repeal by-laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, for the following subjects, to-wit: [...] Ninth. To regulate the keeping and conveying of gunpowder, and all other combustible and dangerous materials, and the use of candles and lights in barns and stables.
