This section empowers justices of the peace to arrest anyone disturbing the public order, making threats, or carrying offensive weapons in a way that terrifies the public. Upon conviction, offenders are imprisoned until they secure bonds for future good behavior, and their weapons or armor are permanently confiscated and forfeited to the King. Additionally, justices can fine individuals for physical assaults, investigate illegal property detentions, and issue hue and cries to pursue runaway servants and criminals.
