Abstract
Penal Code, ch. 38, § 456: Prohibited the carry of any slungshot or weapon of similar kind. Violators guilty of a felony.

This statute makes manufacturing, selling, or distributing a slungshot a misdemeanor, while carrying or using one is classified as a felony. Additionally, carrying any concealed, loaded firearm or dangerous personal defense weapon is deemed a misdemeanor.

§ 455. SLUNG SHOT.] Every person who manufactures or causes to be manufactured,or sells or offers or keeps for sale, or gives or disposes of any instrument or weapon of the kind usually known as slung shot, or of any similar kind, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
§ 456. CARRYING OR USING SAME.] Every person who carries upon his person, whether concealed or not, or uses or attempts to use against another, any instrument or weapon of the kind usually known as slung shot, or of any similar kind, is guilty of a felony.
§ 457. CONCEALED WEAPONS.] Every person who carries concealed about his person any description of firearms, being loaded or partly loaded, or any sharp or dangerous weapon, such as is usually employed in attack or defense of the person, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
